  • We felt our family building project was going to be a new endeavor and needed a fresh label.

    Druk is Tibetan for Dragon (hence all the dragons).

    Emilia and I’s first home together is called “Druk Dzong" aka Dragon Fortress.

    We also met in a Dragon year according to the Tibetan calendar.

    This is not in revolt of our history or some passive-aggressive rejection of our families, but an evolution of the money lenders (Usry) and common persons (Volz) to become leaders in the world to help others, The Druks.

  • Formal with a flair is the dress code.

    Please wear uplifted clothing but don’t be afraid to think outside the box.

    You might end up sitting on a cushion.

  • Favorite Hikes:

    Chautauqua - all the hikes are great or you can go enjoy the views and restaurant

    Royal Arch - Hard hike, great views

    Mount Sanitas - the lower trail is a pretty beginner trail

    Food:

    Illegal Pete’s - easy and delicious cheap option (think local Chipotle)

    The Kitchen - nice upscale (Kitchen upstairs is good and has a nice lounge but easygoing vibe)

    Salt - elevated good dining

    Frasca - High end dining

    Centro - Latin American eats

    Barchetta - casual and cute

    Avanti - Food Hall

    Rosetta Hall - Food Hall

    Things to see:

    Red Rocks Amphitheater - if you can stay a few more days going to a show here is worth it. You can also visit during the day and go into the venue or hike nearby

    Drala Mountain Center - 2 hours away, it makes a great day trip. You can see Chase and Emilia’s first home together and visit the Great Stupa of Dharmakaya, the most prominent Buddhist monument in the USA.

    Lake Dillon & Breckenridge - Want to experience quintessential Colorado this area is the place to do it! Hour and a half away, beautiful views and cute mountain town.
